Belgian-born sculptor Ozanne D. Princen lives and works in Leuven, Belgium and in Paris, France. With a background as a ballet dancer and a master’s degree in Modern History and Cultural Studies from KU Leuven, her artistic language is both physical and intellectual-anchored in movement and enriched by reflection.
Working exclusively in bronze, Ozanne sculpts minimalist yet sensual forms that explore the grace, presence, and strength of femininity. Her work is a meditation on poise, memory, and timeless emotion-fluid gestures cast into permanence.
‘Dance taught me to express emotion through the body. That sense of flow and discipline continues to guide my practice.
Through bronze, I explore the quiet strength and grace of femininity its curves, softness, and presence. Each sculpture is a reflection of both my past and my present, blending the fluidity of dance with the permanence of metal.
I aim to create pieces that feel timeless and alive where something still seems to be moving, even when everything is perfectly still.’
